progression of ideas
Last week my group weren't sure on our narrative for our short film it was too complicated to understand and we didn't want it to look 'cheesy' with us filming in college. However we have come up with a new idea for a narrative that is simpler and has a better storyline.
Basically our new narrative is going to start with a woman running through the woods filmed in black and white with a hand held camera. The scene is then going to jump so two characters are walking through the woods and they spot an arm this is the new equilibrium. There in then a flashback of the two characters being thrown out of a pub because they are underage. The characters then go to the shop to get some cans of beer. The characters then wait outside the pub for the barman to walk home, they follow him through the woods talking about what they want to do and how mad they are. The film then stops and leaves the audience wondering what has happened.
Enigma 1: the girls walking through the woods
Enigma 2: the girls finding an arm
Enigma 3: what happens at the end of the film?
We are going to write a letter to a choice of 2 pubs that we are wanting to film in, we need to get their permission.

how could we enhance our short video?
- Have the hand stuck out of a pile of leaves.
- Dutch angle on hand coming out of ground, creates tension.
- The narrative was a little vague, confused about whether the arm was alive or dead.
- Better title needed.
- More research put in to creative narrative.
